Michael Di Giglio and Michal Lepore, two Syracuse local photographers, have known each other for a year and a half.
During a five-hour drive to New York City, Di Giglio and Lepore came up with the idea of opening a collaborative photo studio that enables professional and amateur photographers to rent both the space and the equipment if they cannot afford to have their own.

South Siders work to raise awareness about the dangers of lead poisoning in Syracuse.
In Syracuse, lead paint is a significant source of poisoning, according to organizers of the newly formed Syracuse Lead Prevention Coalition. Ninety percent of the housing stock in Syracuse was built before 1978, the year lead-based paints were banned.

Syracuse artists and musicians, including Akuma Roots, Brownskin, Grupo Pagan, Blacklites, were brought together last October to “Make Lead History”.
